They are in great need, each week, for shelf stable items, including: canned beans, canned veggies, meals in a can, pasta, peanut butter, and mac & cheese. If you would like to pull together drive-through food drives, neighborhood red-wagon pulls, etc., HIM can make arrangements to receive the items, and would truly appreciate the donations. Donations can be dropped off at the FEED FRANK Depository at 3523 Beauchamp St., Houston, TX 77099.
  • If you would like to volunteer directly with Heights Interfaith Ministries, contact caren@generationserve.org and we will help you schedule a volunteer shift.
  • Here is their website for more information: https://himfoodpantry.org

Kids' Meals

  • Kids' Meals is still accepting kitchen volunteers who will wear gloves and masks while working. At this time, the age of volunteers is limited to 16+
  • Your family can pack Kids' Meal lunches at home. Each bag should contain a source of protein, a snack, and a small water bottle or juice box. These meals will be quarantined for 10 hours in the warehouse because COVID 19 can remain on paper surfaces for that amount of time. Then, your donations will go directly to children in need.
  • See their calendar to sign up for kitchen volunteering or drop off donations at 330 Garden Oaks Blvd (call 713-695-5437 to make sure they are ready for your delivery).

Once you pass through the gate, follow the signs to the back door of the building.  Please unload your items and place them at the back door.  A staff person will take them inside for sorting.
  • The SEARCH House of Tiny Treasures would like care packages to keep their preschool kiddos and their siblings engaged while out of school. They suggested the items below to enrich students' experience. Bubbles; Sidewalk chalk; Any kind of paper (construction, drawing, 3 x 5 note cards, copy paper); Watercolor sets; Play Doh; Soft beach and other balls; Pencils plus small personal pencil sharpeners; Family friendly board games like Candy Land and Chutes & Ladders. They specifically asked care package sponsors not to include coloring books and crayons because they've distributed an abundance of those items recently. Between students and their siblings, they serve approximately 80 children under the age of 12. 55 of them fall in the 2-5 age range. End of the month delivery tends to work best as their families often face the greatest struggle to make ends meet while waiting on another month of benefits to come through. Please email caren@generationserve.org to make arangements for delivey. You may also send care package items via mail (2323 Francis St. Houston, TX 77004) at any time.
