Program Manager

Generation SERVE, a 501c3 charitable organization, is seeking a full-time Program Manager to join our team in Houston! The Program Manager will join a growing team consisting of the Executive Director, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Development Officer and Program Managers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to exercise creativity in developing youth programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people of all ages, has direct experience facilitating youth programs, and thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
This position is instrumental in developing hands-on service programs for all ages, managing routine operations for several programs, and supporting program growth through collaborative planning with other team members. 
 
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee routine operations for several programs including data entry, handling registrations and applications, coordinating program logistics, and communications with internal and external individuals and organizations
  • Manage the Activity Lead Program, including
    • recruitment and hiring
    • training, coaching, and other professional development
    • evaluation and retention 
  • Develop and facilitate trainings and create learning resources for Program Activity Leads
  • Collaborate with the team in building and managing relationships with external program partners 
  • Work closely with the team to evaluate and refine programming
  • Handle program inquiries and phone calls, provide excellent customer service
  • Special projects as assigned
 
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  •  3+ years of experience facilitating youth programming; 
  • Experience developing and facilitating lesson plans, trainings, workshops, and presentations;
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong writing and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to volunteerism, community leadership, and social justice;
  • Ability to handle detailed work, multiple programs and projects running simultaneously;
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required; and
  • Proficiency at MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
 
COMPENSATION & HOURS: 
Beginning salary $45,000 annually, 10 paid vacation days and 10 paid holidays, plus paid time off during Holiday office closure (approximately 7 days) per year. Ability to work weekends and evenings as required. Regular, full-time, exempt (salaried) employee.
